Why Isnt Jude Bellingham Playing For England Against Ireland In The Uefa Nations League

Why Is Jude Bellingham Not Playing for England Against Ireland in the UEFA Nations League?

Jude Bellingham: A Rising Star in English Football

Jude Bellingham is a highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. He is considered one of the most promising young players in world football and has already broken into the England senior team, making his debut in November 2020.

Bellingham has been in excellent form for Dortmund this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances in all competitions. He has also been a key player for England, starting in their last three matches.

Injury Rules Bellingham Out of England Squad

Unfortunately, Bellingham will not be able to play for England against Ireland in the UEFA Nations League due to injury. He picked up a knock in training and has been ruled out of the squad by England manager Gareth Southgate.

Southgate said: "It's a blow to lose Jude, but we have other players who can come in and do a job. We're confident that we can still get a result against Ireland."

Bellingham's Absence a Major Blow for England

Bellingham's absence is a major blow for England, as he is one of their most talented and important players. He is a dynamic and versatile midfielder who can play in a number of positions and his creativity and energy will be missed.

However, England have a number of other talented midfielders who can step into Bellingham's place. Declan Rice, Kalvin Phillips, and Jordan Henderson are all experienced internationals who can provide quality in the middle of the park.

England Still Favourites Against Ireland

Despite Bellingham's absence, England are still favourites to beat Ireland in the UEFA Nations League. They have a much stronger squad on paper and will be confident of getting a result in Dublin.

Ireland have made progress under manager Stephen Kenny, but they are still a developing team and will be underdogs against England. They will need to be at their best to get a result against the Three Lions.
